A state of emergency has been declared in southern Brazil after heavy rain caused flooding in coastal cities including Balneário Camboriú and Itapema.

Footage shows partially submerged cars navigating flooded streets and Itapema Mayor Alexandre Xepa calling for aid and rescue assistance.
